Meet Linda Albinsson, founder of Advanced Nutrition
Why I founded Advanced Nutrition.
Experience
Linda has over 20 years experience in private practice, with demonstrated experience working with high-end & professional clients. Pre-pandemic, her clinic was situated on Harley Street, where she trained with the renowned GP Dr. Mouton. Today, she divides her time between seeing clients, collaborating with GPs, managing her team, & lecturing & mentoring the next generation of nutritionists at UWL.
She previously served on BANT’s Professional Practice Committee and holds a BSc degree in Nutritional Science from CNELM, Europe’s leading training provider in Personalised Nutrition & Functional Medicine. In addition, she has Advanced Gastrointestinal Practitioner training from the founding Institute for Functional Medicine in the US.
My Passion
I’ve always felt the passion to work in healthcare, but the conventional model—focused primarily on treating symptoms —never sat well with my values. I strongly believe that life is for pleasure, belonging and fulfilment, and that can only be achieved when true health is pursued & imbalances corrected at the core.
In my extensive experience & research, I’ve made two groundbreaking discoveries that help us explain why we experience weight gain, pain, digestive issues and hormone imbalances, which now form part of our unique approach.
Why ‘Advanced’?
It has always been paramount to me to learn about the facts, not fads. Our Team shares a passion for both professionalism and people, and we only hire people with highly professional backgrounds.
What sparked the interest in digestive health?
Surprisingly, it all began with an antique book by a prominent naturopath who led Sweden’s flourishing health scene in the 1930s. In this pre-antibiotics, pre-laboratory era, he made remarkable observational discoveries—many of which predate what we now know as scientific truths. These unique insights sparked a deep interest, later expanded through Advanced Gastrointestinal Practitioner training (American Institute of Functional Medicine) and a BSc in Personalised Nutrition and the Mechanisms of Disease.
On a personal level, the interest in nutrition began over 35 years ago, giving me a broad and practical understanding of the evolving impact of food and popular diets across the decades. This places me in a unique position to advise both clients and less experienced nutritionists with insight and confidence.

This depends how ‘deeply’ you want us to work with you. One session will review your diet, identify any gaps or mistakes, and give you list of things to change, helpful tips & supplements.
If you want to work on more complex health issues and want long term resolve however, we might work together for 3-5months. You can choose how much handholding support you need, with either weekly or monthly sessions.
-
This depends on your goals and preferences: We’ll work through a program step by step, which will include diet & supplements, talking through challenges, diet reviews, testing and at home sugar/metabolism measurement. We’ll also include accountability tasks, if this is what you want.
-
We see most of our clients either biweekly or monthly, depending on how much handholding and help with implementation they need.
-
We’re highly professional individuals & degree qualified Nutritionist, and our Functional Medicine expertise speaks for itself. We’re outcome focussed, particularly helping you with the element of implementation, in the real life scenario.
Where we really differ however, is our unrivalled understanding in being able to translate your health case & test results into understanding what it is that’s causing your health issues.
You don’t have to buy into templated long-term packages, instead will make bespoke recommendations of what you need in your particular case.

It’s a method Practitioners use to understand what, and how, bodywide ‘weaknesses or imbalances’ in function can trigger uncomfortable symptoms. When body-systems or organs work optimally, we simply feel better. Once we have an understanding around what’s going on, we can correct the diet, lifestyle and apply natural remedies to re-balance.
