What Does The Dutch Hormone Test for Women Measure?
The test looks at oestrogen balance, progesterone production (in still menstruating woman), testosterone, DHEA, as well as your cortisol (stress/adrenal). What makes this test unique however, is that it doesn’t just measure how much of these hormones new make - it also looks at how we might use them and manage them in the body. The key bit about the test however, is that, whilst it tests hormones - it looks at a range of factors which may be contributing to imbalanced hormones. Having the ‘WHY’s help you create an action plan straight away.
What does thE female hormone Complete Test Include?
The complete hormone (Adrenal and Sex Hormone) test is a comprehensive assessment of sex and adrenal hormones, and gives unique insight into how your body processes and balance these hormones. It’s broken down into two key areas and covers the following elements:
FEMALE Sex Hormones
STRESS/ Adrenal fatigue and health
Sex Hormones
Our complete Hormone panel looks at hormone measurements including oestrogen, androgens (testosterone, DHEA) and progesterone. As well as the raw data this information is provided as a graphical representation so that any breakdown pathways can be easily understood.
DUTCH Adrenal Panel
The DUTCH adrenal measurements looks at daily free cortisol and DHEA, produced by the adrenal gland. It can help you understand if your adrenals are overworked, if you’re in the ‘danger zone’ of depleting your adrenal resilience and rule out causes for insomnia and fatigue during the day (there are also other causes!)
Mood and Sleep
Hormones tend to affect sleep, mood and how we feel in ourselves.
This test is a more straight forward test that is easier for a layperson to understand, compared with the DUTCH test. It’s therefore more suitable for the public to undertake themselves without professional help interpreting the test.
Note that the this test is a Functional Health test with the aim of giving you diet and lifestyle changes to help your symptoms. It is not a diagnostic test.
